Twenty years after delivering one of contemporary Gospel music’s most influential projects, two-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist, songwriter, and producer Tye Tribbett is bringing a defining chapter of his musical legacy back to life.
Tribbett has announced the November 13, 2026, release of V20: First Semester, a reimagining of his groundbreaking 2006 album Victory. The upcoming project commemorates two decades of musical innovation, unforgettable worship experiences, and a sound that helped reshape the landscape of modern Gospel music.
More than a celebration of the past, V20: First Semester represents a powerful intersection of legacy and new beginnings. Through refreshed arrangements, dynamic instrumentation, and renewed creative energy, Tribbett revisits the music that impacted a generation while introducing its message to an entirely new audience.
The album marks the first installment of a two-part anniversary celebration, with a second chapter anticipated in 2027.
“Twenty years later, the sound has grown, the testimony has deepened, and the victory still belongs to God! With V20 First Semester, we’re celebrating everything Victory Live has meant to people while bringing that same faith and fire to a new generation. To everyone who’s been singing these songs since day one, and everyone discovering them now, this celebration belongs to all of us!” Tribbett shares.
A New Generation, The Same Victory
Leading the project is the high-energy single “I Want It All Back,” featuring ABLAZE, the contemporary Gospel youth movement bringing fresh voices and passion to the collaboration.
Released October 9, the single reintroduces one of the most recognizable declarations from the original Victory project. With commanding vocals, explosive musical arrangements, and Tribbett’s signature performance style, the song captures the same spirit that made the original a standout while presenting it through a renewed musical lens.
The collaboration with ABLAZE also represents something deeper than a musical reunion. It symbolizes the passing of a creative and spiritual torch, connecting longtime listeners who experienced Victory in 2006 with younger audiences now discovering its message of faith, restoration, and triumph.
Throughout his career, Tribbett has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to blend traditional Gospel foundations with elements of hip-hop, R&B, rock, soul, and contemporary worship. His unconventional musical approach, combined with energetic live performances, has positioned him among the most influential innovators in Gospel music.
From his early days leading Greater Anointing (G.A.) to his evolution as a solo artist, Tribbett has consistently challenged expectations surrounding the genre, opening doors for a new generation of Gospel artists, musicians, and worship leaders.
His career achievements include two GRAMMY Awards, five No. 1 albums, four No. 1 Gospel radio singles, and ten Billboard Top 10 songs. Yet his impact extends far beyond commercial success, with a musical legacy that continues to influence worship experiences in churches and on stages around the world.
With V20: First Semester, Tribbett is not simply revisiting the music that helped establish his career. He is demonstrating that the message behind those songs remains just as relevant today as it was twenty years ago.
And while the arrangements may evolve and new voices may emerge, one declaration remains unchanged: the victory still belongs to God.
V20: First Semester arrives on all major digital music platforms November 13, 2026, and is currently available for pre-order and pre-save.
