San Franklin Releases Powerful New Worship Single “El Shaddai”
Acclaimed vocalist, songwriter, and pastor San Franklin is bringing a fresh sound of worship and assurance with the release of her new single, “El Shaddai.”
The name El Shaddai, known as a Hebrew name for God meaning “God Almighty,” carries a message of strength, provision, and divine covering. Through this moving worship ballad, Franklin reminds listeners that even when life feels uncertain, God remains faithful, present, and fully able.
Written by Franklin and produced alongside John Matt Clark, “El Shaddai” was birthed from a sincere place of trust and surrender.
“I wrote ‘El Shaddai’ in about five minutes, not knowing that my producer would have the final verse that would bring the whole message together: El Shaddai, we’re trusting You,” Franklin shares. “This song is personal to the uncertainties believers are facing in every area of life. But one thing I know for sure is that whatever needs to be done, His name can do it. El Shaddai, take care of us!”
“El Shaddai” is now available on all digital music platforms and is also being serviced to Gospel radio. The single is featured on Franklin’s 15-track debut album, THE FREE PROJECT, recorded live in Nashville and released through Enon Music Group. The project highlights Franklin’s heart for worship, her gift for songwriting, and her ability to blend traditional Gospel, contemporary worship, jazz, and urban influences into one powerful sound.
In addition to the new release, Franklin is scheduled to appear on select dates of Enon Music Group’s 2026 I STILL BELIEVE Tour. The tour also features Zak Williams & 1 AKORD, Jamar Esaw & Triad 4 Christ, and Dr. Alyn E. Waller. Upcoming stops include Harrisburg, PA, on May 22 and Philadelphia, PA, on May 29, with more dates expected to be announced.
San Franklin’s journey in music spans nearly four decades. Over the years, she has become known as a respected vocalist, arranger, and vocal producer, contributing background vocals across Gospel, Country, and R&B. Beyond music, Franklin has faithfully served as senior pastor of The Love Center South Church in Nashville for more than ten years.
