Earnest Pugh Unveils “Send Your Rain” Featuring Nate Bean & 4-Given
Emmy Award-winning and 2025 Stellar Award-winning vocalist Earnest Pugh returns with a powerful new release, “Send Your Rain,” a dynamic remix and continuation of his beloved hit “Rain On Us.”
Known for his remarkable five-octave vocal range, Pugh has earned multiple Dove Award nominations, secured five #1 songs on the Billboard charts, and released 13 Gospel albums. With each release, he delivers unmatched passion and vocal excellence, and “Send Your Rain” is no exception.
The inspiration behind the track came spontaneously during a live concert moment. As Pugh exited the stage, the atmosphere remained charged, with the audience continuing to sing the hook of “Rain On Us.” Leaning into the moment, he turned it into a live call-and-response, introducing an uptempo chant of “send your rain.” That organic experience quickly resonated, sparking the creation of the remix.
Pugh describes the song as both a cry and a prayer—an appeal for divine intervention during seasons of dryness, struggle, and uncertainty. He explains that in life’s most challenging moments, when people feel broken or depleted, the need for God’s presence becomes undeniable. The song reflects a deep yearning for renewal, restoration, and spiritual overflow.
In addition to its spiritual message, Pugh dedicates “Send Your Rain” to the more than 350,000 Black women impacted by job losses tied to the dismantling of DEI programs. Through this dedication, he offers encouragement rooted in faith, reminding listeners of the promise that no good thing will be withheld from those who trust in God.
Released through Blacksmoke Music Worldwide, the high-energy track features the powerful vocals of Nate Bean and his Nashville-based choir 4-Given. Bean shared that the collaboration was about more than performance—it was about creating an authentic and impactful sound. Every vocal layer was crafted with intention, resulting in a record that feels both powerful and deeply connected.
Often referred to as “Gospel’s Leading Man,” Pugh is widely recognized for hits like “I Need Your Glory” and “Your Glory-2 C U.” He is also a recipient of the prestigious BMI Award for radio airplay.
Celebrating two decades in music, Pugh will host a 20th Anniversary Concert honoring his debut project A Worshipper’s Perspective, originally released in 2006. The event is set for Friday, July 3 at 7 PM at Christ Missionary Baptist Church. The celebration will feature special appearances from Lena Byrd Miles, Lillian Lloyd, LeJuene Thompson, K. Will & Again I Say Rejoice, and Vincent Tharpe & Kenosis. Get Your Tickets Here
