Earnest Pugh Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary of Debut Live Album A Worshipper’s Perspective
Emmy Award-winning actor, Amazon best-selling author, and Stellar Award-winning gospel powerhouse Earnest Pugh is celebrating a major milestone: the 20-year anniversary of his first live recording, A Worshipper’s Perspective.
Over the past two decades, Pugh has solidified his place among gospel music’s elite, releasing 13 albums and earning six No. 1 Billboard hits. While many fans were introduced to his anointed sound through his 2009 breakthrough project, Rain on Us, it was his 2006 independent release, A Worshipper’s Perspective, that laid the foundation for his remarkable career. Released on his EPM Music Group label, the live recording showcased Pugh’s powerful worship style and vocal precision.
The album featured standout renditions of beloved classics and contemporary worship favorites, including “Wrapped Up, Tied Up, Tangled Up” (originally recorded by Thomas Whitfield), the stirring ballad “Holy Spirit” penned by Brent Jones, and the energetic praise anthem “If You Never” made popular by Byron Cage.
To commemorate the 20-year anniversary, Pugh will host a special Celebration Concert on July 3, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. The evening promises to be a powerful gathering of worship and excellence, featuring some of gospel music’s brightest voices.
Scheduled guests include Grammy Award-winning producer Cedric Thompson (serving as Musical Director), Stellar Award-winning artist Lena Byrd Miles, along with Lillian Lloyd, LeJune Thompson, Vincent Tharpe and Kenosis, and K. Will.
Tickets are available now at www.earnestpughonline.com.
This milestone celebration is more than a concert—it’s a testament to two decades of ministry, music, and unwavering faith.
