David Walker & High Praise Deliver Soul-Stirring New Project Thank You For The Promise (Live in Atlanta)
The Atlanta-based gospel powerhouse returns with a powerful live recording, featuring the moving single “My Faith” and an all-star lineup of collaborators
A spirit of gratitude, resilience, and unwavering belief takes center stage as David Walker & High Praise unveil their long-awaited new project, Thank You For The Promise (Live in Atlanta). Recorded live in 2024, the album captures the energy and authenticity that have made the group a cornerstone of the Atlanta gospel music community.
Following a string of successful 2025 releases—including “To My Father’s House,” “Holy,” and the acclaimed radio single “Saved”—this new body of work builds on that momentum with a rich, spirit-filled sound. The project features notable guest appearances from San Franklin, Wendi Henderson Wyatt, Ashton Jackson, and Lillian Lloyd, alongside songwriting contributions from Darnell Davis, Nate Bean, James Ziegler, and Walker himself.
At the heart of the project is the deeply personal single “My Faith,” featuring Tyree Miller. Originally penned during a Bible study session, the song evolved into a lifeline for Walker during a season marked by unexpected change and uncertainty. Revisited during preparations for the live recording, “My Faith” emerges as a powerful declaration of endurance and trust in God.
The message is clear: even when circumstances don’t immediately shift, faith remains active and effective. The song encourages listeners to speak boldly, believe fully, and stand firm, trusting that all things will align in due time.
