Aaron Cole Taps Jonathan McReynolds and Tenroc for "usher in the spirit again"
A TikTok moment turned into a full remix, and the trio's hip-hop, gospel and R&B fusion is out now on every platform
A viral clip does not always turn into a real record. This one did.
Aaron Cole has released “usher in the spirit again,” a remix built with Jonathan McReynolds and Tenroc that pulls three distinct lanes into one groove. Cole brings the pen and the cadence, McReynolds brings the soul in his vocal, and Tenroc brings the energy and the boards. The result lands somewhere between a praise break and a late 90s radio staple, which is exactly the point.

The story started with a clip Cole posted to TikTok that took off fast. Millions of views. Stitches. Verse challenges. Comments from fans and from artists well outside the gospel lane. That response led to the original song and music video for “usher in the spirit” with Tenroc, which welded together two beloved records: “Revelation 19:1” and the melodic hook from Usher’s “You Make Me Wanna...” The remix takes that same foundation and stretches it, adding McReynolds to the vocal blend and giving all three artists room to say something about hope and staying power. The trio linked up in New York, with Tenroc handling production in the studio.
“When the original clip started blowing up, I knew this was a powerful reminder of how God’s presence and music continue to inspire us and can change things in new and greater ways,” Cole said. “No matter what we all may be facing, God’s grace and love is always there for us. He renews our spirits fresh every day.”
